Jim Bertie starts working on air conditioners at age 17. Five decades later, he still checks the work that leaves the shop.

Bertie Heating & Air Conditioning opens its doors in Gainesville, built on fairness, honesty, and doing the job right the first time.
- 2000s
The second generation joins the company. Bertie becomes one of the names North Central Florida homeowners pass to their neighbors.
